Jeanne testimonial

“Amy was the gift my book needed! I had written a memoir but it lacked a voice and emotion. Amy quickly found my voice, found my sub themes and rewrote my memoir. She brought me to tears when I read her rewrite outline as it was exactly what I had wanted and needed for my story. Amy works quickly, meets every deadline she sets and was so tapped into my vision and my story. The investment was worth every penny! She is incredibly talented and a pleasure to work with.”

FREE DISCOVERY CALL

I love to kickoff the process by starting with a free discovery call where I get to know you and your goals for your book. I'll share an overview of the process, and get a sense of what you're looking for. From there, I'll develop a quote for our bespoke publishing and design services.

CUSTOM BOOK DESIGN

Unlike other book design options out there, I partner with high-end illustrators, graphic designers, font developers, and e-book format experts to ensure every element of your book does your vision justice. I work with a variety of design partners and have sourced the best of the best so you can rest assured knowing your book design will be tailored to your story and ideal audience.

It's no secret that the traditional book publishing world has been disrupted by self-publishing and independent publishing. We cater to authors who want to own 100% of the rights to their book — and want their books published right, with no detail left unconsidered. From generating the copy for your author page, your book description, and picking the keywords and categories that will bump up your SEO on Amazon and help readers find you — every aspect of publishing your book on Amazon is accounted for.

E-BOOK, AUDIOBOOK, AND PRINT PUBLISHING

Readers experience your book very differently depending on the format. From creating custom CSS to ensure the e-book experience shines no matter the device readers are using to even hiring a voice actor to create an audiobook format for your book, I'm here to bring your book to life across multiple marketplaces and platforms to ensure the right readers find it.

BOOK LAUNCH STRATEGY

The book launch process can be daunting, so I'm here to help create a custom launch strategy for your book so you know how to activate any existing audiences or fans of you and your work. I'll share with you the secrets of what your metrics need to be to have a shot at landing on the bestseller lists, and generate a framework for you to approach your book marketing.

FAQ

-Custom book cover design for hardcover, paperback, e-book, and your audiobook cover.

-Bespoke interior layout, formatting, and design for both print and e-book formats.

-Up to 3 optional custom illustrations for your book's interior.

Do you handle book marketing?

My team and I help with aspects of book marketing, which includes SEO for your Amazon author page and book description, your launch strategy, pre-order set-up, and other tips to help set you up for success. We offer different types of packages for different types of books, so reach out for more information.

Can you help me with writing or editing my book?

Yes! I offer both book editing and ghostwriting services as well.

What's the difference between independent publishing and traditional publishing?

Independent publishing is often known as "self-publishing" where you own 100% of the rights to your book and don't have to give away royalties to book agents or other intermediaries. You have total control over your book and how it's published, and your book can become real within months — not years, like with traditional publishing. If you opt in to a traditional publisher, it can take up to two years to see your book become real, and traditional publishers expect their authors to do the majority of their own marketing — while still taking a bite out of their profits. There are pros and cons to both paths, but I specialize in helping people who are going the self-publishing/independent publishing route.

Can I still hire you if I'm querying book agents and going the traditional book publishing route?

Yes, I've helped traditionally published authors with their book ghostwriting and developmental editing needs. When it comes to publishing services, however, with traditional publishing you usually do not get a say in how your book is designed, so that's something I wouldn't be able to help you with if you decided to go the traditional publishing route.

How long does the book design and publishing process take?

It can take a few weeks, which is why I recommend that authors get their cover design started in tandem with the final edits of their manuscript.

Can I make any changes to my book after it is designed?

Yes! You'll be mailed a proof copy of your book, which is a physical copy of your book you can read and make any last edits. Each design deliverable has 2 rounds of optional revisions, and I'll guide you through the process of making sure your book is exactly where you want it to be before it goes live.

What should I do to get my book on bestseller lists?

One of the big elements that play a role in how your book can get on bestseller lists is how many pre-orders your book gets before it is officially published, and your first week of sales (which the pre-orders count towards.) That's why I'll guide you through a few options when it comes to the timing of your pre-orders within the publishing process.

What should I be doing to make sure my book is a success?

Every author has a different strategy when it comes to getting their book out there. I'll help you audit your existing audience and potential avenues for helping your book achieve its potential. I've seen some bestselling books do crazy numbers in pre-orders and days after publications, and others are more of a slow grow, gaining steam as readers recommend to friends. Getting good reviews from readers and having a positive word-of-mouth cycle is part of the key to helping a book succeed, but there's also other elements of strategy I'll share with you as well to get your book off to a great start.
