NEOPETS METAVERSE WHITEPAPER
STORY
Like every other ‘90s kid, I grew up with one of the best flash-based browser games known to man: Neopets. The giant omelette still haunts my dreams to this day. When I attended the NFTNYC conference, I ran into a few of the team members on the Neopets Meta project, and so I sent off a cold email/nostalgia-fueled love letter, sharing my passion for the project. My cold email hit a chord, and I started working with the team shortly after that.
DELIVERABLES
WHITEPAPER REWRITE
For this project, I helped the Neopets Meta team rewrite their whitepaper to make it speak to the OG fans of the game — as well as the new generation of players. I focused on folding story nuggets within the need-to-know whitepaper logistics — my specialty. You can read the whitepaper live on their website here.
IMPACT
Neopets Meta raised $4m at the top of 2023 to continue making waves in the gamefi space — even in the dry desert of the web3 bear market. This speaks to both the staying power of the brand, and how key storytelling is to engage fans. I’m grateful to have been a small part of presenting this project to legions of fans.
